Raised in San Carlos, California, where he lives presently with his family, Dominic Foti played baseball throughout his teenage years, traveling to represent his hometown in the baseball mecca of Cooperstown, New York. When he was 17, he also began playing the guitar, performing small concerts in Santa Barbara and other regional cities near San Carlos. He went on to study business management and entrepreneurship at Chico State University in Chico, California, where he was active in a number of extracurricular clubs and participated in musical events for local schoolchildren. Dominic Foti earned his bachelor of science from Chico State in 2013.
After graduation, Mr. Foti went to work with his father as a business developer and operations manager with Blacktop Paving, Inc. From its headquarters in Redwood City, California, Blacktop Paving completes asphalt, concrete, paver stones, and natural pavement projects throughout the greater San Francisco Bay Area and beyond, including projects that emphasis the use of environmentally friendly materials. His daily responsibilities with the company range from negotiating contracts with customers and equipment providers to supervising crews and handling employee relations.
